Is Your Tub Peeling?

Tub Peeling  Tub Peeling

Why Does This Happen?

There are any number of reasons why the surface of your refinished bathtub began to peel.

  1. Most of the time the coating peels because the surface has been chipped and water has made its way under the coating. In order to prevent the coating from excessive peeling.
  2. It is imperative that chips be reported as soon as they are noticed. If something is dropped onto the floor of the tub, take a close look at the area that may have been damaged.
  3. If you see a spot that looks chipped, call to set up a repair.
  4. "DO IT YOURSELF" REFINISHING KITS WILL NOT LAST/WILL NOT WORK

These kits DO NOT have all the materials that are necessary to make a coating stick to your tub. By choosing to "Do It Yourself" you will end up paying a refinisher to strip off this inferior coating before the new coating can be applied to the tub surface. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your money.

Stripping Process

The old coating that is PEELING will have to be stripped off if:

  1. Your bathtub was refinished by another refinishing company.
  2. Customer neglect has caused the coating to fail.
